A family company established in 1912 our traditional welsh woollen mill specialises in wide width weaving of blankets and Welsh doublecloth plus some apparel and upholstery fabrics. We are always open to collaboration and have worked on many fascinating projects over the last 30 years! Sustainability for the business, keeping jobs and skills in a remote rural location, more local sourcing of raw materials, better or new ideas for our waste and the circular economy are all of great interest to us. We’re a very small producer but interested in new technologies in yarns and finishing.

Sales, Marketing and Communication without strategy have no reason to exist unless they want to achieve results. The organisational myopia and complexity that often characterise activities and large companies sometimes does not help. This contamination of sectors (art and craftmmanships environments) allow me to express, my curiosity and creativity by developing ideas, visual activities, market scenarios, but my more rational...
Mikkimono makes kimonos, and variations on this very ancient, simple garment pattern, to produce garments adapted to Western conventions, tastes and usage. Using an eclectic mix of offcuts, fents, recycled, end-of-production,quality fabrics combined in new ways, made to client measurements and specs. Primarily interested in the creative use of locally sourced materials manufactured to create minimal waste. My contributions to FFF: hoping to get a year-long affordable skills-sharing programme going with my Craft group at Leeds Central Library.
