LITAC is the University of Leeds’ hub for textiles, colour, and fashion research, tackling global challenges in the industry. Founded through a £21.1 million co-investment from The Clothworkers’ Company and the University, LITAC drives innovation in textile science, colour technology, and sustainable fashion.

Building on 150 years of expertise, we collaborate with industry, charities, and NGOs to develop new materials, processes, manufacturing techniques, digital tools, and technologies that address the needs of society, the environment, and the fashion sector. Bringing together various faculties at the University of Leeds, the members of the LITAC academic network represent a diverse and wide-ranging array of research areas.
