BA Fashion Design (Graduation: June 2023/24) I have a huge passion to learn more ways towards sustainable fashion. After working as a brand designer for a small scale sportswear brand, I have gained knowledge about the fabrics and the impacts such a task has on the environment. Hence, based on the concept of circular economies I have developed an idea for a brand which is all about getting together a similar group of people and initiating a cycle of clothing exchange among them, making the re-using process much fun. It is a small basic idea but I hope to make...
LaundRe, a near shoring and reprocessing denim hub in the UK. Our green, next generation equipment processes and creates the washed finish on jeans. All jeans start life raw and unwashed. By adding the finishing in the UK we derisk the supply chain. Our facility will support British retailers to reduce risk on their buying process, we will be able to take back unsold stock and reprocess goods and also address denim waste which is filling up recyclers. Our aim is to educate the next generation of buyers, designers and techs with workshops and by having a live working environment...
MA Creative Pattern Cutting (Graduation: 2021) For my MA, I’m investigating gender expression through the use of creative pattern cutting. I’m interested in exaggerated silhouettes and 3D forms. My work focuses on structure and volume, and I achieve this through various different methods, including 3D printing and fabric manipulation. My degree was in knitting, so I like to incorporate elements of that, too. I believe that sustainability should be the starting point in the design process, and that the lifecycle of a garment should be considered from the very beginning.
Main interests include mass customisation/made to measure garments driven through 3D body scanned data. Sustainability and creating a circular economy within knitted garment production. Specific skills include knitted textile development: Cut and Sew, fully fashioned, composite and technical textiles.
I am currently researching into Sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry for my MA, as well as working currently in the fashion industry for a swimwear brand. I have worked in garment technology for 3 and a half years and I have also spent some time working freelance before my currently role, consulting on the technical aspects of clothing businesses, primarily with start-ups brands.
We are a men's and women's outerwear factory brand, based in Suffolk. We specialise in quilting, are the only UK brand to do so and almost all our product is quilted. Whilst we are Suffolk made, we have teams in London and Japan and we sell our product globally. At Lavenham, we are always keen to improve our efficiency as a manufacturer within all our processes from development and sampling through to production lines. We are working on “being better” and educating both ourselves, our work force and our customers in how to be more sustainable, and implementing improvements throughout...

My practise is centred around relaxed tailoring for women mainly, although I have male clients as well. I’m very conscious of quality and low quantity production as I want to remain free of participating in the current landscape and cycles of the fashion industry. I believe in a better work life balance, where there’s room for other interests than work. I’m very curious to combine wholesale with made-to-measure clients.
