BA Fashion Design with Textiles (Graduation: 2023) I am currently in my first year of university, I have a high interest in starting my own sustainable brand. Making sure sustainability is the main focus when designing my collections.

We are a bespoke tailors that have developed significant growth areas in lesbian wedding suits and vegan suits, using fabrics made from bamboo, cotton, linen and recycled bottles. During the pandemic, we have begun doing remote consultations. We are always looking to innovate, through new materials and technologies.

We intend to make Pontypridd, a town in South Wales in post-industrial decline, into the European capital of pre-loved clothing by setting up a vintage superstore in town and then inviting similar enterprises to join it and fill the main streets empty shops. Its efforts are inspired by what Richard Booth did in another Welsh town, Hay-On-Wye, whose fortunes were saved by becoming the second-hand book capital of the world. KHCN is a craft-centred brand creating knitwear patterns for yarn suppliers and unique custom pieces. Making everything slowly and by hand is essential for me to create ethical and sustainable fashion pieces.

KnitRegen Ltd. is a wearable MedTech company developing patent-pending textile components for neurological recovery. Our components target neural pathways that directly influence muscle performance via a small but life changing component that can be easily stitched within a textile, within pre or post production processes. Borne out of PhD research, the venture holds innovative textile technology and material science expertise, alongside cutting edge neuroscience. Importantly, our work is underpinned by people-centred design to critically understand social and cultural influences on compliance with wearable technology.

Our main business is in the capture and reproduction of colour images on paper and fabric. Konica Minolta has also a specialised colour measurement division to help professionals calibrate their products to international standards. Konica Minolta is growing its investment in biotechnology, robotics and “smart” technologies and would like to better align its development to specific industry needs.
