Cashmere Circle is committed to reducing the luxury fashion industry’s environmental footprint by promoting true wardrobe sustainability: extending the life of existing garments and closing the loop with our creative cashmere recycling project. Our ultra-efficient repair and revive service blends pioneering garment cleaning technology with traditional artisan skills - all based in the Scottish Borders and Central Belt. Years down the line when the garment is beyond repair, we’ll recycle it into something new to start the process all over again. Completely circular, zero waste.
Graduating with a MA in fashion knitwear from the Royal College of Art in 2018 led to investigation into the agriculture and innovation in natural fibre and dye. With a large archive of natural fibres, colour recipes and application methods my ongoing projects include a focus on marine pigment, local dye plant agriculture and reworking/over-dye collaborations with designers and artists.

I have been in the Asian, retail industry for over 8 years now, I currently make bespoke wedding and party dresses in silk fabrics for clients which are all designed in the UK and handcrafted and embroidered in Pakistan. I have created a sustainable British Knitwear brand which uses carefully sourced sustainable fibres, mainly certified British wool, certified organic cotton and natural baby Alpaca to create modern garments that are inspired by the Norfolk fishermen’s gansey jumpers and their heritage stitches.
Plastic pollution has hit a catastrophic high, with only a staggeringly 15% making it to recycling facilities. From buttons to bookcases, spectacles to school chairs and car doors to countertops, there’s a huge range of durable items that need to be brought into a circular economy through the use of sustainable alternatives to petroleum plastics, offering multiple end of life scenarios.
