Academic and industry partners from the Future Fashion Factory community will be out in force for this year’s Make It British Live!

The only trade show focusing exclusively on UK manufacturers of clothing, textiles and homewares, Make It British Live! is set for 29-30 May at the Business Design Centre in north London.

In addition to its huge exhibition space where over 200 brands are set to showcase their products, the event boasts a full two-day programme of talks and panel discussions focusing on key challenges facing British manufacturers.

Speaker line-up for Make It British Live 2019

Future Fashion Factory director Professor Stephen Russell will be among the panellists for ‘Craftsmanship Versus Technology’, a discussion moderated by journalist and broadcaster Lucy Siegle on Wednesday 29 May.

The panel of experts will be completed by Andy Ogden of English Fine Cottons as well as representatives of some of our industrial partners: Mark Randle, Technical Director at Galaxius Systems and Nick Keyte, Managing Director of Gieves & Hawkes.

Elsewhere in the programme Hareesh Kallambella, Senior Production Manager at our industrial partner Burberry, will give a talk with the title ‘The Future of the Factory is the Factory of the Future’.

Find the full agenda, information on the speakers and a list of exhibitors on the Make It British Live! website. Registration is free.

Make It British, which organises the annual trade show, recently joined Future Fashion Factory as an industry partner and exists to showcase and support UK manufacturing. It helps buyers to find UK manufacturers and British-made products, as well as promoting the quality and capability of the UK’s fashion and textile manufacturing base.

Make It British Live! will be the first trade show to have a Future Fashion Factory presence. The team will have a stand in the exhibition hall across both days to introduce our exciting research projects and share how the programme can support businesses and professionals at every stage of the fashion and textile supply chain.

Businesses of all sizes, professionals and students are all welcome to become Future Fashion Factory members.
