Sheila Kennedy
I have 20+ years of experience working in the clothing industry, in product development, sourcing, and compliance. I have also been an integral part of teams implementing new IT PDM systems across 3 businesses, and I have experience of business analysis, change management and project management within the industry.
I completed a CISL Business Sustainability Management course, and it became clear that my career experience is all within the areas that affect 80+% of a products environmental footprint. My experience in product creation, development, and compliance relates directly to circular design in particular, while my supplier sourcing experience speaks to social responsibility and supply chain.
I have spent my years in the industry travelling the world and working with and visiting suppliers of raw materials and garments in Asia and Europe. I started my career working in factories so I am very familiar with the realities of manufacturing around the globe.
I have worked for SME’s and also for large organisations, and I’ve covered fashion, technical outdoor clothing, uniforms, and sportswear.
I am intrapreneurial and innovative, curious, and I love to learn. I feel that with my years of knowledge & experience in the industry and my passion for sustainability I have a lot I could contribute to Future Fashion Factory.
