Second Store is an online sneaker and lifestyle store especially for women and the LGBTQ+ community. Taking its name from Simone de Beauvoir’s seminal feminist text, the Second Sex, Second Store aims to subvert the bias towards men in the sneaker industry by carving out an inclusive space for women.

Second Store is interested in using fashion, sneakers in particular, as a vehicle for change, Feminism, responsible retailing and consumption, the future of e-commerce and the digitalisation of the fashion industry.

• What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: I would like to continue to grow Second Store and the community that surrounds it by taking on new and exciting brands and broadening the product offering. I would like to explore the future of e-commerce, as well as interactive and immersive virtual technologies within the fashion and retail sector. I am also keen to carry out projects that will help guide businesses towards a sustainable future.
• What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: I am interested in innovative projects that push forward the frontiers of Fashion, in particular, digitalisation. I am keen to understand consumer behaviour within digital and virtual environments, and how immersive environments can improve the brand-consumer relationship. I am also interested in projects that showcase women within the Fashion Technology world as well as projects that use digital innovation to bring about real solutions to the sustainability crisis.
