 Dyeing, Printing & Coloration

We are making natural, powder dyes from food waste. A key barrier in the adoption of natural dyes is the long, complicated process required to naturally dye fabric and the inconsistent results this produces. Using our innovative spray-drying technique we can change this. By turning food waste into easy to use, consistent powder dyes we can make dyes that are non-toxic, non – polluting and 100% vegan we can provide a circular solution for the fashion industry.

Our team consists of Masters students from LCF and we have studied Womenswear, Menswear, Textiles Design, Innovative Fashion Production, Fashion Futures and Fashion Design Management between us. We all also have diverse industry experience ranging from designing for high street chains, luxury fashion production, running start-ups, fashion marketing, trend prediction, fashion consultancy and owning our own brands.

  • What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: Further research and development into our dye manufacturing process. We already have prototypes and would like to form partnerships with dye experts and researchers to develop these further. Testing our prototypes to industry standards. Partnerships with textile manufacturers. We would love to collaborate on small production runs of cloth using our natural dyes. Partnerships with spinners, weavers and cloth manufacturers. Yarn dyeing using our dyes to make woven cloths or samples.
