Nastassia Ramazankhani
Nastassia Roya designs and creates three-dimensional sculpted and printed garments using low-impact natural materials, including organic cotton, peace- silk, and wool which celebrates the properties and provenance of natural fabrics. Her hand-crafted designs are inspired by her mixed ethnic heritage of British and Iranian.
Localism is at the core of her work; Nastassia sources fabrics from within the local region, using a regional manufacturer to make the product that can drastically reduce her carbon footprint. Inspired by proven theories about how localised production is a solution to the mass consumption of material waste within the textiles and fashion industry.
Nastassia intends to divert away from global outsourcing to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Her recent work replaces synthetic embellishments and man-made polymers by using a cellulosic substance called BioGlitter™.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: My aspirations for the future, is to expand and develop my collections further, using new innovations to replace synthetics, whilst using and implementing zero-waste patterns. Moving towards a regenerative model, working with local farmers who are already implementing regenerative agricultural practices.
