Secondly, for fashion design holistic approach, I more interested how my practice can bring benefits to the existing fashion industry, including my research in seamless weaving (working on a mechanism that weaving from yarn straight to a garment) and cultural adoption of seamless technology (having digital interface harvesting better enhancement for apparel character and performance).

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: The aspiration is to redefine or reinvigorate the role of the fashion designer, where they might have a more inspiring role to the community. Designers in future will work closely with all disciplines together, creating more benefits to the existing platform together with manufacturers, designers, engineers and commercial platforms. Fashion designers will not only think about collections for each season, but in a more holistic approach, how fashion can inspire lateral industry. After I graduate, I would love to work in a high performance textile company in order to work closely with the R&D team and focus on applied technology and design-based projects, validating the idea of how future designers could work with knowledge in both textiles and apparel. Other than that, in the next 10 years I would like to work alongside interested parties on seamless weaving and seamless technology aspects to develop a more holistic vision for potential future collaborations.
- What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: 1) Working alongside 3D weaving centre in Leeds and Optima 3D would be beneficial, seeing how 3D weaving can be applied to various industry or even commercial platform; 2) I would be interested in how FFF can form a community for designers, manufacturers and commercial platforms to join together with values and interest in the idea of sustainability, innovations, cross discipline collaborations, for potentially exciting projects inspiring the globe; 3) I would also be interested how the technical apparel industry and textile sector can play a potential role in actualising and visualising potential role for Mars multiplanetary living, where XSpace announced that soon within 10 years, human can be travelling to Mars, where R&D for the apparel should be started to develop and harvesting materials for that purpose.
