Founded in 1767, Joshua Ellis has been weaving top end fabrics in Yorkshire for over 250 years. We specialise in cashmere and fine woollen coatings and jacketings as well as woven scarves and home accessories.
With a broad customer base that ranges from the top end of the high street to the very highest levels of global couture, we feel we have extensive insight into the global luxury market and can offer the project a truly worldwide viewpoint.
Despite our rich heritage and age, we are a forward thinking business that is evolving on a daily basis. As a result we are open to new working practices and innovative new products for the marketplace. With our own weaving and finishing capabilities as well s our extensive links to the European textile manufacturing sector we are also well placed to implement changes in a timely and effective manner.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: The main aspirations for the future are to continue to evolution and diversification of the product range to increase the size and scale of our global customer base. In tandem we will look to further increase the exposure and recognition of the Joshua Ellis brand through our scarf collection and e-commerce website.
- What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: We are interested in a number of projects that include manufacturing processes (lean manufacturing) as well as innovation in product lines and qualities.
