Design & Manufacturing (Homeware, Interiors & Outdoor Products)

We design supply chains on behalf of our clients who are interior designers for hotels. Our focus is on a few products, whilst they are diverse in their offer, the common thread is they are highly customisable whilst meeting strict contract compliance. The compliance requires up to date knowledge, testing and certification. Further we are a hybrid of supply chain, procurement, project management, design. It is critical we collaborate with excellent manufacturing partners, and learn in detail about our supply chain. We hope to take them into new markets that we want to go into hotels, cruise ships, student accommodation.

We aspire to be expert in these products, offer innovative solutions of visualisation through unique website visualisation technology that offers real time visuals, self serve functionality. By enabling this technology we can work on more projects, globally and sell multiple products to a project without compromising our customer service.

  • What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: Digitisation of the business, by using something like a configurator for textiles we can unlock project potential, this also builds stability and equity into the business and allows us to work well with future ways of working with clients and employees. Building IP into the business, being able to work on international projects. Becoming expert in educating. Building on a resourceful and expert network, working with academic experts in their fields, as well as private sector. Building this into education and offering these learnings to our industry. Building up the employee skill set continuous programme of development, acquiring new skill sets where that is not possible.
  • What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: Skills/ education. Education on the circular economy, one of our suppliers using recycled yarn, an example of education would be to understand how economical this is, what are the tangible impacts. Can we offer a solution to take back throws, recycle again the yarn – how many times is this possible before there is too much degradation, offer a solution then to renew throws, would there be an advantage in less build up of bacteria doing this. Development of new products, example we have a product called Bedsok, could this be product in faux leather, developing prototypes has been time expensive, are there any solutions to this. Developing our own patterns, or lines, this would require student placement. Data driven designs, becoming more proactive less reactive, designer like us to offer solutions to them not just sell them what we can do, understanding colour trends, colour impacts we could evidence our knowledge driven by expert insight rather than opinion. Aesthetic visualisation is critical for us to demonstrate, with a new website in the making this will put us on the map demonstrating our culture or forward thinking, and obsessing about b2b values. Tapping into knowledge, skills, and research as to how we can enhance this, keep moving forward or better being ahead.
