I am very interested in sustainability accounting for all aspects of the supply chain. I manage a natural dye garden at my university using this as a teaching tool to create natural dye methods for wool.

I have internship experience with Ria Burns a natural dye specialist in Bristol where I spent three weeks harvesting, dyeing and knitting naturally dyed garments for customers. I then spent two months at Fernhill Farm in Somerset where I learnt about Regenerative Agriculture from raw material through to yarn including classes in hand spinning and wet felting. I am now currently working for Herd where I am learning more about Regenerative Agriculture certifications and the farming side behind the supply chain.

I feel I can bring new and innovative ideas to your partners as I have an understanding of the expectations in regards to sustainability at university level. I also know how we need to adapt as students and prospective designers to support fashion and the environment in this ever changing-climate.

  • What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: I am hoping to do an MA in Fashion Futures (Fashion and the Environment) at London College of Fashion straight after my degree so that I can focus more closely on my areas of interest. My career aspirations start anywhere from working for an ethical brand to exploring larger organisations such as the Ethical Fashion Initiative and The Copenhagen Fashion Summit to help to contribute towards change on more of a global scale.
  • What type of experience are you hoping to gain through Future Fashion Factory?: I am interested in anything from work experience opportunities to groups and organisations that I can get involved with to expand my network.
