H A E N E P L D N
Regenerative textiles produced with the cleanest, circular processes
H Æ N E P [ Hay-nep ] or hɛmp is an ancient plant. In fact, it’s one of the oldest cultivated crops on the planet. It has been in continuous use by human civilization since at least 10,000 years ago and carbon tests have actually suggested that the use of wild hɛmp dates as far back as 8000 B.C.
In England, H Æ N E P cultivation dates back to 800AD. In the 16th Century, Henry VIII encouraged farmers to plant the crop extensively to provide materials for the British Naval fleet. A steady supply of H Æ N E P was needed for the construction of battleships and their components.
In the 21st Century, thanks to disruptive, fiber tech innovation, H Æ N E P L O N D O N presents the ultimate regenerative, sustainable fibers, yarns & textiles produced with the cleanest processes & minimal carbon footprint to support the wider circular economy.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: To develop a global import export business of hemp eco fibre products in fashion textiles ranging from yarns, fabrics and finished garments using a network of textile manufacturers including spinners, weavers, knitters & garment manufacturers (including related paper & bio plastic packaging & trim manufacturers.) I am keen to connect & collaborate with premium UK retail brands such as Burberry & other international fashion textile companies to explain the benefits of the project and test pilot we are planning to run to prove concept of textile products made from hemp. We know that hemp is 100% sustainable and environment friendly compared to cotton and fossil based raw materials and we are keen to quickly develop relationships with industry partners to develop products.
- What types of projects are you interested in working on through Future Fashion Factory?: Those including R&D, creative product development and sourcing projects with an emphasis on new eco fibres & products that will benefit the environment, impact climate change and also work with under developed countries to develop new business opportunities. Projects with premium fashion brands that would be interested to incorporate hemptex products in their fashion collection.
