Emily McIntyre
BA Fashion Design (Graduation: July 2022)
I am very interested in the fashion industry and I keep up to date with current events through articles on the Business of Fashion and the latest collections by luxury designers on the British Vogue website. I am also currently taking a couple of short courses on fashion innovation and sustainability on Futurelearn.com. I also have a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and obtained my Grade 8 in piano last year.
I went on a trip with other Fashion students at Leeds to New York in March, in which we had a behind the scenes tour of Macy’s, a visit to the FIT Museum, which I thoroughly enjoyed, the Museum of Modern Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and a select few of us visited the DKNY Showroom and Design Offices for a tour in which they showed us previous collections and the various moodboards for upcoming seasons which I found very interesting.

- What are your aspirations and plans for the future?: I hope to begin a career in design in the high end fashion industry after gaining some experience during my year in industry and gaining skills and knowledge in my degree and possibly a Masters degree as well.
- What type of experience are you hoping to gain through Future Fashion Factory?: I am hoping to gain some industry connections, internships and/or work experience to help further my career aspirations.
